Granbury is south-east of Fort Worth about one hour. We went there after tubing in Glen Rose. I read in a guidebook that the revitalization of the town square here set off the trend for other towns in the area. If you've been around Dallas enough you've seen at least a couple touristy little downtowns. This one had some nice pictures but after a couple of hours in the 100 degree heat we took off for the city-built beach on Lake Granbury a few blocks away.

Buildings made of stone from the Brazos River.

Thomas, searching for a mere washroom, finds so much more.

Architectural detail on the old jail, now a museum.

Old ass car.

Nothing satisfies your craving like sushi and donuts.
