Purple Glaze

Emily and I got our art on at one of those paint-your-own-pottery outfits (Purple Glaze in Preston Center).
I did fishies.
She did cubism.

Wedding Location

People have been curious about our wedding location, so here's some photos of the outside to satisfy your curiosity.
The windows are a breezeway connects the galleries. It is the path through which the wedding procession will... process.
The Crow Collection of Asian Art is in front of the Trammel Crow Building in the Arts District in downtown Dallas. It is next to the Dallas Museum of Art and across the street from the Nasher Sculpture Center. Directly north is the Dallas Performing Arts Center and Myerson Symphony Center.

Cranes.
Nasher.
Guests enter through this door in the atrium.
Another shot of the breezeway.

Cottonwood Arts Festival

Held in Richardson semi-annually. Both times we've gone it's been on a really nice day in the fall.

I liked this painter a lot. I really, really need to get back into it.
Thomas has been an admirer of this guy Jay Long for a couple of years. We keep talking about buying some of his stuff but just never get to it. Maybe because we both realize how long it takes us to actually get stuff put on the wall.

There are three draws to this festival for me: 1) It's outside 2)It's got art 3) Lots of cute dogs.

Lindsay likey.

Ok this dog was my favorite, but I have a pro white-with-black-spots bias.

Want these for my front yard ($5k a pop).

Seattle Asian Art Museum

SAM has a branch in Volunteer Park (yes, Volunteer Park has a lot of cool stuff) to house its Asian collection.
You're not allowed to photograph inside (which is a bummer!) but I snuck in a few nice real ones before I found that out.
Camel at the entrance, photographs permitted.
