Our New Garden
Here's our new plot in the Palo Alto Community Garden. When we got it, the plot was overgrown with blackberry bramble, roses and grapes.
We cleared out all the berry, dug up the roots and leveled the soil. Now it's ready for spring planting.

Beans
Thomas holding a bean pod. This is the sort of thing Native Americans used to eat before White People came along, if Park Rangers are to be believed. Mission San Jose, San Antonio, TX.

Heron
This little guy, as far as I can tell, is a Green Heron. He threw me of his heron-trail by not having a long neck, but then I realized his neck was just scrunched down like some of these guys here: http://www.google.com/images?q=green+heron&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=leGeTJzFBoGBlAf62KnwAg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CDcQsAQwAA&biw=1920&bih=1016. The internets win again! I photographed him at the Sunken Gardens in San Antnio, TX.

Seafood
The fish market at Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. This is my first effort at shooting RAW and editing a series in Photoshop.
